Salam Ramadhan to all Muslim out there...
This year's Ramadhan brings a different meaning to me as a WIFE & MOM...
I can't deny that its v tough for me to endure the hunger n thirst of fasting while breastfeeding..
Each time i bf my baby...i feel so thirsty /hungry that i feel v weak wen i fast this Ramadhan..
Milk production is also lower during fasting but i would like to share some tips to other nursing moms out there who wanna fast but worry of their milk production going low..
I am sure there r other nursing moms out there who needs to express few bottles of milk everyday fr their babies while they go out working just like me.So hopefully the following tips could benefit u guys out there

1)I have been taking some supplements frm GNC since delivery to make sure Quazza gets all d nutrients n vitamins dat he need frm Calcium , DHA (fr d brain ) and other essential vitamins.
Its v crucial that i still continue taking these supplements daily during d fasting mth either after d pre-dawn meal(SAHUR) or breaking fast to ensure that he still gets all d nutrients that he need....This is actually a pre-natal vitamins which r suitable for expecting moms n mons who r still nursing..

2)Fenugreek is supplement that i have also been taking frm day 1 after delivery as suggested by d Doctor to increase milk production. I consume 4 capsules every day to ensure i have adequate milk supply for direct feeding n expressing at least 2-3bottles of 160ml each day.

3)This is a recent discovery after reading up some tips frm d net....OATS...
Its great to consume oats daily for gd milk supply. U can be creative to consume oats either in cereal form , porridge or even oats cookies.. I never like to eat Quaker Oats becos i tink its really bland but now i have grown to love it after preparing it my own way...by mixing QUAKER OATS porridge w some Honey Oats & granola cereals to add d crunch n sweetness...Taste gd after all!!!Try it...
Hope d tips above works fr other out there too...

Till den
Adios
