Jops's cousin , Farhana just got married last weekend...and i was v pleased to be involved w d joyous occasion contributing my ideas n efforts in makin d sireh dara n hantaran decor of cos....wat else cud it be...
Jop was werkin on d sat so i attended d solemnization w my MIL but was having a great tyme w all his cousins who were so warm n welcomin me to d family

This is d simple hantaran in all white which i did for d bride at d v last min...on d nite before her Solemnization...so i didnt hav much of my usual stuff & accessories to werk with..

Although i was v tired after dat long day...i had to wake up early d next day to prepare another Sireh Junjungw my MIL...dis time w a touch of Ethnic Javanese flavor...as the aunts want another Sireh Junjung to decorate the 'pelamin' or dais..as Farhana has 2 dais..one at home n one at d void deck

We were all so tired n my feet were aching terribly becos i was on high heels d whole 2 days....

"How's marriage life?"

Seriously...its kinda d most common qn i get frm pple i meet these days...
But i still dunno how d exact ans shud be...
But i said....erm..."ok....v interesting?"
....sumtimes i say...."pretty the same....!"

Of cos its GREAT!!I hav never been happier before....
Feel so complete n fulfilling now...

There r changes dat i hav to get adapted to...for example...'hubby's bad habits' like farting n burping loudly which r so SUPER DUPER IRRITATING but...getting used to it...
And definitely many other changes dat i just hav to now ADAPT to...
Likewise....he( Jop) also hav to get used to my character , personality n ways like..not sleeping early..bz finishing my werk or prepare for lessons d next day tilll late hours...while he is not used to havin sum light on wen he wanna sleep early to rest for werk d next mornin...

But we both r not complaining....we r having fun so far....
Really...i realised dat we hardly argue or quarrel lately...
Only once....becos i was upset he werk on nite shift...come back d next day sleepin wen i was awake...till d time i hav to go werk....so we didnt get to talk at all...
And of cos...it wasnt his fault....i need to understand his job....
So dat was resolved...

I also started to get bz w my SYF preparation and the days wen hubby is having off days n resting at home r d days i wud be bz teaching or running ard settling d costumes or songs for my students...

So we both just need to be patient and understand each other's jobs...
But the best thing is...at d end of d day...
We still get to c each other at least for a while to catch up...in our bedroom...
We hav fun watching television together , now even lay PS3 together and lookin forward to do even more things together for d rest of our lives...

Here also u can wat wat i hav transformed hubby's used to be personal cupboard into....since we r now sharing d room...

So dat he doesnt just chuck all his stuff one corner in sum basket in a messy way....

And of cos...we had to sacrifice n put away sum of his figurines n toys...to make space for my stuff....


Hehe....so hubby's room look more girlish now..with me ard....

I hav never felt so happy before...and looking forward to d future w my hubby and of cos starting a family...

Sumone asked me....how on 'GD EARTH'(guess dat will be my trademark frm now onwards)...cud i hav time to do wedding hantaran decorations beside my bz n hectic schedule of teaching in SOTA and also some other skls in dancing , plus d fact dat SYF is coming!

I cudnt answer d qn myself...but suddenly i started to wonder to myself...
How did i manage?
Still looking back at d past 6mths ago planning for my big day...
I did it in 6mths!
And within dis 6mths too...i got inspired to do hantaran decoration biz....cos i guess i start to fall in love w d 'LOVE BUSINESS'...WEDDINGS...!

So becos of my bz commitment in dance and now being a wife...
I hav a reason to say y i am just doin dis hantaran thingy once in a while...to fill up d time wen hubby is bz werking but i also hav to be careful dat i dun end up messing the whole room dat we share w my decoration stuff...cos its my duty to keep it tidy n comfy for him to come home everyday frm werk to rest , play his ps3 and sleep...

So back to d qn...how did i manage d time??
I guess its all abt balance...and one thing i learnt during d MARRIAGE PREPARATION COURSE is...WOMEN R SIMPLY V GD AT MULTI-TASKING!...I AM SERIOUS....!GUYS cant do wat we r doin...as in having so many things to do at one time...cos they need to focus at one thing at a tyme and of cos they will do well in it dat way...Its just d way we humans r 'made' to be...
So....lesson learnt:LADIES!Dun be angry or frustrated w yr MAN wen he forgot abt sum dates...things u expected him to remember!...Cos he hav to focus on his werk or sum other things n cudnt really think of so many things at a time...sumthin i cud perhaps say...memory space limited...ahaks...so its our duty to keep reminding him without getting sick of it....DATS one thing i learnt...to avoid fights....

Trust me...we fought so many times abt him forgetting d appts we made w ur wedding service providers etc...so i learnt a new way to solve d situation after d course...

Aniway i am also glad Jop is so supportive abt w small creative biz i am doin..
In fact he is alwiz helpin wen he can...w carrying d stuff...and basically not d creative aspect of it..:-)

Oh ya i guess i wud also wanna share sum of my creative workz done for my v own wedding...to sum of d bloggers out der who perhaps wud be keen n interested to engage LOVE CREATEZ to do their wedding hantaran decor....who noes....ryte?

Firstly is to substitute d common gift of a pair of HEELS...cos i hav bunions which are serious foot injury so i cudnt wear heels too long...so not practical to get me one...
2nd... cudnt jog w my hubby to exercise...so he got me In-Line -Skates instead....for us to skate together in future...
As d object is huge n heavy...the pair of skates were placed on a huge , metal-like tray and decorated w netted fabrics , beads n other accessories...
So these r all my hantaran gifts at a glance...
