Yeah its a new look!!

Its a new me!!

I finally decided to hav a haircut cos i cant stand having so much hair falling off n Q alwiz pulling my hair wen i am carrying him...

Hubby gave d green lite so....SNIP SNIP SNIP!

No regrets...i guess i just hav to wait for my baby to be bigger before i can keep long hair again!

Other than d new hair..i hav sumthin NEW to talk abt...

If previously i have been doing WEDDING GIFTS DECORATION under d label LOVECREATEZ which u can view thru LOVECREATEZ.MULTIPLY.COM,....now i hav come up w BabyQreatez...inspired by my own SON...dealing w BABY GIFTS...

As most of u readers out there have known by now...i have been doing DIAPER CAKES...

But now...ii have come up w new customised gift sets packaging for d cute lil ones....

So far d response have been great and i have been taking orders non stop every week...

I am sourcing for more interesting n cute gift boxes like d ones u c above...

This doesnt mean i am not doing diaper cakes anymore...i still do..

In fact i just finished 2 orders for 2 cute lil gals last weekend..

The first one was ordered by customer-Aisyah for her colleague who just delivered to a BABYGIRL...

And the 2nd one was ordered by Kak Seri for her cute dotter's 4th bday...

Glad that d BDAY GAL n d guests who came like d cake as it looked just as yummy as d edible one....

Plenty of things to update....

Firstly abt Quazza Ilhandyl...My precious babyboy have now started to go to 'SKOOL'...

Well, to be exact ,nowadays i no longer bring him along w me to conduct dance classes but leave him at KIDDY Academy which provides INFANT CARE service besides pre-school classes.

Like all mom , i was pretty anxious n worried if he couldnt adapt to d new surroundings..

What if he cries becos he doesnt c me...??What if this...and what if dat??

So many qns popped in my head....

But u noe wat....Quazza loves his new SKOOL so much becos there's plenty of toys to play and many frens to communicate w that he simply doesnt even bother when i was leaving or arrive later in d evening to fetch him...

I was taken aback wen i saw how engrossed he was playing w his toys n his new frens ard him .I called out his name....he responded...looked at me...smiled n continue on playing...

I felt relieved n v glad that he is so much more independent without me now.

That's my boy!!!

Past weekend have been pretty eventful for me n Hubby especially because he took part in 2 'pageant' competitions....

One is 'DEWA DEWI 2010 organised by ZUL RADI BRIDAL COUTURE and d other is MANHUNT Singapore 2010.

Basically Hubby hav been bz w all his rehearsals , gym sessions etc2...

Manhunt Singapore have a few judging events n fashion shows that hubby got to do for d sponsors frm last 2 weeks all d way to d finals this 5th June...

I can imagine how hectic it is for him...to juggle work n all these . But i am glad he have been given d opportunity to take part in such a prestigious event thru recommendation by Abg Zul who recognised his potential.I am giving him my encouragement n support in whatever way i can n hope he will be able to achieve sumthin gd out of it...

As mentioned earlier he also took part in DEWA DEWI 2010 organised by ZUL RADI BRIDAL COUTURE.

This is a competition which takes place every year to scout new talents to Model for ZUL RADI BRIDAL COUTURE at Singapore Expo.

The finals was last SUN and i am so glad Hubby's efforts n hard work was worthwhile because he won first place n attained d title DEWA 2010.

So congrats to Hubby for d victory...

I am so proud of u love...u did it!!

In continuation of d previous entry on D 'SLEEPZ' issue...

I would like to add on a few more tips i wanna recommend strongly on..

I did mention before that my baby usually sleep holding a bedtime teddy or his fav toy d kangaroo....

Now he has another new toy a giraffe which i named as GEORGE as d one u c in d pic...

So Q will alternate in having either KIKI(D KANGAROO) , George or d bedtime bear to accompany him to sleep because i wash his 'friends' everyday as he suck n put them in his mouth.

This is V IMPORTANT in keeping d hygiene of d baby...

U really shud be extra cautious abt this although its troublesome...

Aniway as i mentioned , perhaps some of u who still have problems putting yr baby to sleep on their own using d methods i mentioned before can try letting yr baby hav a familiar 'fav' toy he would alwiz hold on to till he sleep...

Its his form of comfort...perhaps..

I dunno how to explain it but it seems dat Q usually quiet down when he is fussy crying for attention d moment i pass him his toy...

He wud grab n hold it tight and play w it till he sleep..

The 'giraffe' n 'kangaroo' are LAMAZE toys which i recommend strongly becos it all comes w a few interesting features like , rattles , teethers etc for d baby to explore n discover by playing w just one toy....

The toys r also v colorful and i chose d kangaroo n giraffe cos these r d ones MY BABY seems v attracted to..

So d next time u wanna get a toy for yr baby...show him a few options n c which ones captures his attention which he wanna try to grab...

I guess thats abt it dat i could share for now on d 'SLEEPZ' issue....

The next thing i wanna blog abt is still on Quazza Ilhandyl...but its abt his first day at 'skool'

The Sleepzzz Issuezzzz....

This entry is meant for my dear blog readers out there who could be MOMS , NEW MOMS OR MOM-TO-BEs....

I am a new mom myself but i just think i might benefit some of u guys out there w my own ways of putting my BABY to sleep and off to d LALA LAND...

From my experience , my baby slept v easily since newborn till now.

I should consider myself lucky that i don't need to carry him in my arms and bounce around to put him to sleep...

When he was just a newborn baby , he slept most of d time like most babies out there but he also wakes up v often for feeding.

i understand that this is normal for breastfed babies as most of my frens who start feeding their babies w formula milk did mention that their babies sleep longer at nite...so dat will mean more rest for d MOMs too...which is gd for them and i am certainly envious of that....cos i can't recall when was the last time i get to sleep for more than 4hrs continuously...

I wake up 2-4 times in one nite to feed n change my baby's nappies and its a normal routine already...

Aniway , back to how i managed to put my baby to sleep on his own , in his own cot/play yard is by a few measures.

1. Baby Body Massage

When u massage your baby , u r stimulating him and this , in turn , tires him out.Massage works well with working parents as they can have some special time w the baby after work.

As for myself , i massage BABY Q 2 times a day...once after d morning bath and once in d evening before he sleeps. My baby seemed v relaxed n will just lie down on his tummy quietly d moment i start massaging his body.

As u can c in d pic above...Q was getting ready for his body massage...

Btw i use d baby massage oil frm Bodyshop which has a nice scent n doesnt feel so greasy or sticky like most oils usually would.
Wen he is having a v gd sleep w sweet dreams...u can c him smiling while sleeping which is quite amusing...

2.Swaddling

This is a method which works well for my baby frm newborn to 2mths. Swaddle works to also calm a fussy baby who cries alot in d middle of d nite and this i learn frm many books , websites and even my old aunts n grandma. There r several ways to swaddle d baby and using a large swaddle cloth would be easier.u can easily learn how to do it frm Youtube but i personally 'master' d skill frm observing how my aunts did it.

Unless d baby is hungy or having colic, swaddle shud work to calm a fussy baby frm crying and immediately make him more settled n drift to sleep by himself as it worked that way for BABY Q.I guess babies feel more comfy n snuggly just like in d mommy's womb.

As most of u noe, i am into handicraft work like , making diaper cakes , decorating gifts etc...and wen i am bz doing my own stuff...i will just leave BABY Q on his rocker and rocked him till he fall asleep and a bouncer will work just as well.

Of course u can transfer d baby frm d rocker to his own cot once he is v deep asleep.

However if u want to train yr baby to be able to sleep in his cot by himself. U SHUDN'T put him in d cot wen he is asleep totally cos he will start crying n panic in a way when he wakes up cos he find himself suddenly awake in a different place which could possibly be scaring him. So perhaps u can transfer him to his cot after feeding /carrying /bouncing him ard when he is semi-awake...still quite conscious..It is normal for babies to cry when u put him down...but u shud just leave him be for a few mins cos eventually he will be tired n sleep...This is also a way for u to teach him or make him learn that he/she doesnt always get it his/her way whenever he cries

3.Familiar surroundings & Sound

Yr baby shud be familiar w d surroundings that he is always asleep in.

Things like cot mobiles , toys n perhaps a bedtime bear might work in helping d baby to understand n remember that these r d familiar things that he will c when he is going to sleep.

Familiar surroundings will make him feel more comfortable n secured

Baby Q's play yard comes w mobiles hanging and also a device w a few musical tunes n natural sounds like water running , waves etc to put him to sleep...

If u dun have these...then d mom or dad's voice singing CAN work too!!!

I also feel that perhaps my BABY is kind of a sleepy head cos its so easy for him to fall asleep wen i am out dining w frens or shopping cos he sleep well when being pushed ard in his buggy.And this is another fav pic of him...taken dis morning when he fell asleep while sitting up watching OKTO...

I didnt realise he was already fast asleep untill i c his head tilting to one side...hehe...

I hope my own personal tips of putting my baby to sleep might help some of u guys out there...But basically once u become a new mom u shud be ready to sacrifice yr BEAUTY SLEEP...

April was a great mth full of fun n events for me that got me so bz n caught up w things to make an update in dis blog...

One of d few events i wanna highlight wud be my fren...SYASYA'S surprise bday bash which took place at BADOQUE cafe...

The bday gal was blindfolded all d way frm Jurong to d destination...and she was totally clueless of wer me n my hubby was bringing her to...she didnt noe dat d rest will be waiting for us at BADOQUE..including her fiance...

But the moment she opened her eyes...she see d huge board of photo collage dat we made for her together....at my crib...few days before dat...
Glad dat Syasya like d collage n Towel cake dat me n my galfrens got for her..made up of a dress , necklace , bangle n earrings...

As u can c in d pics above...these were all d pple who attended d simple yet fun bday bash 2weeks ago....

Ok moving on to me n my family...

Quazza is turning 5mths pretty soon...he is growing so rapidly and i guess by lookin at d pics..u wud noe...dat by now...he is intelligent enuff to look n smile for d camera...wen his pic is being taken...
I certainly love dis pic of him smiling n waving at me wen i was takin his pic...

He is beginning to sit up...although not so stable n strong...and its fun to c him discovering the new things dat fascinates him like MUSIC...IN d pic above u c him trying to play 'piano'...and in d pics below...u c him listening to music n lookin stunned??


Dats how chubby n adorable my precious gem is...

I feel so fortunate n complete having a family of my own now...

I dun need money n stuff to make me happy or proud...but just d happiness of being loved by my Hubby n seeing dat beautiful angelic face of my lil son...cos only this...i noe...

WAT TRUE HAPPINESS IS...
